How do I make a consultation?

We recommend first getting a consultation and basic evaluation. In this visit Dr Banas will talk with you about your past history and some testing (Heart Rate Stress Recovery Test, Adrenal Fatigue Test, Fitness Level, Measure the amount of Body Fat, Water, Muscle Mass Test, Blood Pressure and also Determine your Metabolic Age (How old is your metabolism? A 25 year old that has a metabolism of a 50 year old is a BAD THING.)

After this is done you and Dr Jeff will sit down a talk about your specific body type, your specific metabolism and what further testing would be best to generate an effective weight loss or sports performance program.

What if I live far from Dr. Banas' Office?

We can usually get most of this testing and consultation done in a single day. Then you and Dr Jeff can continue the program over the phone, via Skype, over by email. We are located about 20 min for Sky Harbor Airport and there plenty hotels and things for your family to do in the area.

 

What Separates Us From All The Rest?
 
Like many other people, Dr. Jeff was a high school and college athlete and never had to think about being over weight, but somehow life caught up to him, and over the years Dr. Jeff began to gradually gain weight. Well, that gradual weight gain ended up creating a six foot two, thirty two year old weighing close to 270 POUNDS!

Not only was he very overweight, he also had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, was depressed about the way he looked, and was on a crash course to developing countless diseases related to obesity. After years of struggling with fad diets, gimmick supplements, and ineffective exercise programs, Dr. Jeff had enough.

He began studying exercise physiology, nutrition, and various training methods. He found a system that works and lost over 60 pounds. Dr. Jeff not only found a new body, he found a new life. He then made a commitment, to help other people like himself who are struggling with their weight get the life and body they deserve. Dr. Jeff is very passionate about what he does and feels that life is too short to live it overweight.

Stubborn Weight Loss. Why diet and exercise might not be enough.

The government's answer to the growing epidemic of obesity has been to recommend more exercise and a balanced diet. While there is no doubt these strategies are important, they also display an incomplete understanding of the biological and hormonal changes that underlie obesity among aging adults.
